Cheery and spacious, this newly renovated one-bedroom cottage sits just 50 feet from the edge of the Bitterroot River’s East Fork. Plant yourself peacefully at the picnic table or in one of the flowered chintz lounges and watch the magical mountain waters roll by. Or plan to play hard in the area’s great outdoors—hiking, boating, biking, skiing (great cross-country and downhill), as well as snowshoeing, and hot springs-soaking)—you name it, it’s nearby.
The kitchen is fully equipped. A BBQ grill on the covered porch facing the river makes for charmed backyard dining. At day’s end, curl up in the queen bed, or the comfortable queen-sized La-Z-Boy Sleep Sofa in the living room.

Grove St. Cottage
There’s a fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, WiFi, and a window-mounted air conditioner in the loft. A small storage area off the bedroom is just right for your skis and fishing poles. Make this your base camp for all sorts of Bitterroot adventures . . . hiking, fishing, floating, skiing (downhill and cross-country), snow shoeing, or mountain biking.
The size is ideal for a couple or small family, and super conveniently located for strolls to the local Farmer’s Market, restaurants, and downtown shopping.

Built circa 1920 by a local Bitterroot family, this log cabin has seen many generations of fun gatherings. Much remains the same, except now you’ll be enjoying running water and indoor plumbing with a tiled-shower. Plus the convenience of a washer & dryer.
The bedroom has a queen log bed and a gas fireplace. The front sunporch or “sleeping porch” has another queen log bed and lots of windows. A comfortable futon also sleeps two. The kitchen is fully equipped and the lovely stone fireplace in the living room draws everyone in.
You’ll want to visit the huge bells located on a knoll just over the creek. And then see if you can find the other big bell atop another hill. Three Bells Cabin is a great, mountain, fishing-and-hiking retreat in the heart of land you already own—your National Forest. Come and enjoy it!

The dining room table transforms, in a flash, into a full-sized Murphy Bed. The kitchen is generously equipped with refrigerator, convection oven, microwave, and coffee maker, plus the pantry essentials of oil, sugar, coffee, tea, and basic spices. The bathroom has its own touch of both the Old West—a stock tank shower/tub—and the New West, a composting toilet.
You’ll find linen & towels, a hair dryer, natural soaps & shampoos, hot water on demand, and for all-season comfort, a mini gas heater and a fan. Enjoy wireless internet and a flat screen TV.

On the middle level, a large dining table seats six, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and serving. The adjacent living area offers kicked-back relaxing, with a sofa, recliner chair, and flat screen TV. And a sliding glass door leads onto a large deck looking down on Bear Creek.
The lower level has a laundry room, another bathroom, garage access, and office space with a desk, and connects to the walkout basement, with a gas-log fireplace stove, large flat screen TV, sofa, love seat, a game/puzzle table, and French doors opening onto the backyard and another view of Bear Creek.

The house is a roomy 1800 sq. ft., including four bedrooms that sleep eight people in two queen beds, one full-sized, and two twins. There are two full bathrooms, one with a tiled shower, the other with a claw foot tub and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining room seats 10 people.
The Cook House has a mid-valley location, which is surrounded by the Bitterroot’s fabulous outdoor offerings: hiking, biking, skiing (downhill & cross-country), floating the river, fly-fishing, bird-watching, and strolling the many small town festivals. After a day of communing with Mother Nature, look forward to an evening relaxing, barbecuing on the deck/patio’s professional-chef grill and indulging in games, TV, or high speed internet.
Stevensville was founded in 1841, as the first European-settled town in the entire Pacific Northwest. (Check out The Stevensville Main Street Association.) Combined with historic Cook House, this setting is ideal for family gatherings, couples getaways, wedding parties, and corporate retreats. The property, with its gardens and fountain and beautifully shaded and fully fenced side yard, is also available for small receptions, photo shoots, and private parties.
