Wilderness areas and national forest lands surround the Riverside Cottage, home to majestic peaks, crystal clear streams and abundant wildlife. From rugged to well groomed, hiking, Mountain biking, and horseback riding possibilities abound.But with the river just a stone’s throw away from the back door, you may be tempted to spend all of your time right there. Plant yourself peacefully at the picnic table or in one of the flowered chintz lounges and watch the magical mountain waters roll by.
The kitchen is fully equipped and there’s a BBQ grill on the covered porch facing the river, making for a charming backyard dining experience. At day's end you can curl up in the queen bed, or the comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room.
Conveniently located near the town of Darby, with its distinct western architecture you can feel the lingering presence of the gold rush at every turn in this thriving little community. You'll also find a healthy variety of shops, restaurants, Darby Rodeo Association events and access to stunning Lake Como.
